I first met Marcus James Professional (Grant Goss) at the Intrinsic National Sales Conference in February 2009 and after over an hour of discussing our businesses it was agreed that I meet up with a dedicated Account Manager that Grant appointed to me and my business.

Over the next 4 months my Account Manager provided me with outstanding support in designing a package that would help build my existing business and open and develop new income streams for my business.

MJP actively encouraged and assisted me in conducting extensive due diligence before we agreed to work together on our new income streams.

There was absolutely no pressure at any stage to "sign up" as from day one the total focus was always on building a successful and profitable "Business to Business" relationship.

What does the report card say after our first full financial year working together?

MJP have supported me every step of the way in expanding my business and providing the perfect synergy between my Regulated and Non-regulated sales.

During what I and many of my peers would consider to have been the "toughest of times to be operating in the Financial Services World" my relationship with MJP has produced a trebling of my business turnover and more than quadrupling of my operating profits.

In 2007, I took a long hard look at my business as a financial adviser and became concerned about my future income streams but also the growth potential of my clients existing pension and investment policies. Quite clearly for those clients especially those who had a limited amount of time to retirement, the volatility of stock market linked investments in the current economic climate did not bode well for the future.

If potential for growth in the medium to long term was going to be achieved then I needed to think "outside of the box". Diversification was the key and to have other products, not necessarily regulated as part of investment portfolios and pensions would give the potential for higher growth. Accepting this is, understanding that the words Regulated Products and Unregulated Products are not associated with growth or guarantees, but in fact the potential for higher returns may come from the latter.

I therefore, through Marcus James consciously entered into the alternative investment market especially overseas property investments. After taking my own advice and restructuring my own portfolio, I then introduced the concept to my clients.

Three years on I am pleased to report that my objectives have been realised. Not only do I have happier clients but my income streams are far above what I would have expected should I have not considered the "alternative investment market".

When I was introduced to MJP and The Harlequin Property Proposition over a year ago. I was fire fighting with Financial Services like most other financial advisers. I was a good producer on the pension and investment advice areas of financial planning, however under market conditions, things were beginning to become unsustainable and I could see that there was going to be a problem in the future, where new business was becoming harder to find.

The Harlequin Property has changed that around with existing and new clients looking for an alternative investment strategy for their pensions and investments, even clients who had cash in bank and building society, are happy to look at the proposition, with main source being Pension, with clients transferring their pension pots into a SIPP. Due to the 100% model, I have had great success with clients investing in Harlequin Property, who otherwise would never had been able to get involved in property investment. I have happy investors and this has been life changing in the income generated over the last year, probably more income earned in this last year than in the last 3 years as a whole.
